After compiling these photographs I came to the conclusion that Howard Pierce loved animals and children. I also noticed that there are few sculptures of men....while there are many of the female form. There are also very few where two specific legs are seen. Most are joined with or without a slight impression to indicate two legs. The simplicity and fluidity of all his works is always evident, and for me that is why I love his sculptures.
